Tongala is a rural township in northern Victoria, 23
km south-east of Echuca. Tongala is a town in the
Goulburn Valley region of northern Victoria,
Australia. Tongala is in the Shire of Campaspe
local government area, between Kyabram and
Echuca, 225 kilometres north of the state capital,
Melbourne. At the 2011 census, Tongala had a
population of 1,869.
Dairying is the most significant industry in the
economic structure of Tongala.
