About Daydream Island
Daydream Island is one of seven islands of the
Molle Group, a sub-group of the Whitsunday
Islands in Queensland, Australia. Daydream Island
is small, measuring 1 km in length and 400 m at its
widest point. The highest point on the island is 51
metres above sea level. Daydream Island is the
closest of the Whitsunday Islands to Shute
Harbour, lying just five kilometres from the
mainland making it popular with day visitors.
Daydream Island is the closest of the 74 islands in
the Whitsundays to the mainland shore at Airlie
Beach. Daydream Island is extremely popular due
to its natural beauty and variety of water activities
available.
