Yakamia is a suburb of South Western, Western
Australia and is about 387 kms south-southeast of
WA's capital city of Perth. In the 2011 Australian
census the population of Yakamia was 2,717 when
there were 1,478 Females and 1,239 Males living
there.
Yakamia is an inner suburb of Albany. Yakamia is a
residential suburb, and used to consist primarily of
bushland, however, this has slowly disappeared
with the bush making way for new housing
developments.
