Mitcham is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria,
Australia, 21 km east from Melbourne's Central
Business District. Its local government area is the
City of Whitehorse. At the 2011 Census, Mitcham
had a population of 14,811.

The main shopping precinct is centered on the
intersection of Whitehorse Road and Mitcham
Road and features a supermarket, cafes, fast food
outlets and speciality shops.

The main secondary school in Mitcham is
Mullauna College, on the site of the old Mitcham
High School.
