Gunbower is a town in northern Victoria, Australia.
The town is located in the Shire of Campaspe, 272
kilometres north of the state capital, Melbourne on
the banks of Gunbower Creek. At the 2011 census,
Gunbower had a population of 522.
The small Murray River town of Gunbower is best
known as the gateway to Australia’s largest inland
island and a significant wildlife sanctuary,
Gunbower Island.
