About Coimadai
Coimadai is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria and is
about 52 kms west-northwest of VIC's capital city
of Melbourne. In the 2011 Australian census the
population of Coimadai was 404 when there were
200 Females and 204 Males living there.
Coimadai is a rural locality 10 km north of Bacchus
Marsh and 48 km north-west of Melbourne.
Coimadai is immediately west of Merrimu
Reservoir and is situated in the valley formed by
the Pyrete or Coimadai Creek which drains
southwards from the Lerderderg hills. The creek
valley provides the route for the Bacchus Marsh-
Gisborne Road.
