and is about 1388 kms northwest of QLD's capital
city of Brisbane. In the 2011 Australian census the
population of Portsmith was 229 when there were
65 Females and 164 Males living there. The median

Portsmith is a suburb in the Cairns Region of
Queensland. The industrial suburb was cut out
from the residential suburb called Bungalow in
1973. Now, the boundary between the two suburbs
is Hartley Street. Portsmith's industries today
include freezer facilities and seafood wharves.
