Koah is a suburb of Northern, Queensland and is
about 1413 kms northwest of QLD's capital city of
Brisbane. In the 2011 Australian census the
population of Koah was 576 when there were 301
Females and 275 Males living there. The median
age for people living in Koah was 41.
A huge part of Koah is allotted to the massive
Barron Gorge National Park. The town is mostly
composed of rural communities that focus on
activities such as farm-handling and mining.
Forestation is also an important industry to those
living in the Eastern part of Koah. The area is part
of the Queensland region. It is located west of
Cairns where the major industries and
commercial centres are found.
