Cooloolabin is a suburb of South Eastern,
Queensland and is about 104 kms north of
QLD's capital city of Brisbane.
In the 2011 Australian census the population of
Cooloolabin was 426 when there were 194
Females and 232 Males living there. The
median age for people living in Cooloolabin
was 42. While most of the area in the suburb of
Cooloolabin is part of the reservation area
that's relegated to the Cooloolabin Dam, there
are some modern districts in it that cater to the
local residents and visitors. Located west of
the Bruce Highway, the suburb of Cooloolabin
houses the Cooloolabin Dam, which takes care
of the water and electricity supply by
harnessing the power of the Maroochy River.
