Martindale is a suburb of Hunter Valley, New
South Wales and is about 165 kms north-
northwest of NSW's capital city of Sydney. In the
2011 Australian census the population of
Martindale was 434 when there were 193
Females and 241 Males living there. The median
age for people living in Martindale was 37.
Martindale is a suburb within the local
government area of the Muswellbrook Shire in
the Upper Hunter Region of New South Wales.
The shire is home to many places of differing
interests that tourists and locals frequent.
Art enthusiasts may visit the Muswellbrook
Regional Arts Centre, which is situated on
the New England Highway. The centre manages
a permanent collection as well as several
traveling exhibitions and local exhibitions.
Other recreational activities in the area include
golfing at the Denman Golf Club in the
Denman Sports Complex, visiting the
Muswellbrook Aquatic Centre and attending
the Blue Heeler Film Festival, which happens
every year during the month of April.
