Somers is a small town approximately 72 km
south-east of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, in the
south-eastern corner of the Mornington Peninsula
on Western Port. Its local government area is the
Shire of Mornington Peninsula.
In the 2011 Australian census the population of
Somers was 1,427 when there were 717 Females
and 710 Males living there. The median age for
people living in Somers was 45.
To the north of Somers, inland, lies extensively
cleared lands used for agriculture.
Somers is perhaps best known for its yacht club
and sailing facilities.
