capital city of Melbourne. In the 2011 Australian
census the population of Durham Lead was 400
when there were 198 Females and 202 Males living
there.
Durham Lead was a mining township 15 km south
of Ballarat. Durham Lead was one of several
mining centres along the main mining lead
running south of Ballarat, generally along the
valley formed by the Yarowee or Leigh River.
