About South Stradbroke
South Stradbroke is a suburb of South Eastern,
Queensland and is about 57 kms southeast of
QLD's capital city of Brisbane. In the 2011 Australian
census the population of South Stradbroke was 101
when there were 37 Females and 64 Males living
there.
The South Stradbroke Island, colloqually South
Straddie, is an island that lies within Moreton
Bay in the Australian state of Queensland, south of
Brisbane and forms the northern end of
Gold Coast. The 21 kilometres (13 mi) by 2.5
kilometres (1.6 mi) sized island is the smaller
one of the two Stradbroke Islands and lies very
close to the mainland.
