and is about 1087 kms northwest of QLD's capital
city of Brisbane.
The Ross River is a river located in northern
Queensland, Australia. The 49-kilometre long river
flows through the city of Townsville and empties
into the Coral Sea. Ross River is located 15km
south-west of Townsville, the Ross River Dam, aka
Lake Ross, is the major source of water supply for
the Townsville and Thuringowa cities.
