Australia's biggest air force base, the RAAF Base
Amberley is situated here and the Bureau of
Meteorology has a weather observation station in
Amberley. To the south of Amberley is the
Fassifern Valley. The Jeebropilly coal mine is
located just to the west of Amberley.
