Newcastle West is an inner city suburb of
Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, part
of which forms the western end of Newcastle's
central business district. Newcastle West
is primarily a retail/commercial trading
district but includes one high school.

At the 2006 census Newcastle West had a
population of 349.

Newcastle West has several supermarkets and
retail outlets, although the city centre is just
nearby, which is where most of the attractions
are. Most of the recreational activities in Newcastle
are centred on the beach.
