Dunoon is a small village within the City of Lismore
LGA in the Northern Rivers region of New South
Wales, Australia. In the 2011 census the population
was 824. Dunoon is known as the Macadamia nut
capital of Australia. Dunoon boasts several
macadamia plantations that make use of modern
mechanical harvesting, sophisticated nut cracking
technologies and quality control systems.
