About Coal Point
Coal Point is a suburb of the City of Lake
Macquarie in New South Wales, Australia on a
peninsula south-east of the towns of Toronto and
Carey Bay, on the western side of Lake Macquarie.
Coal Point is so named because the first coal mine
on the lake was situated there.
Roughly 99 kilometres away from the capital city of
Sydney, the district of Coal Point is situated in the
Hunter Valley of West Lake Macquarie in New
South Wales. Several landscapes and seascapes
are found around the vicinity of Coal Point.
